LEARN YOUR RIGHTS SERIES #1 – The TEN COMMANDMENTS

[NOTE:  Throughout the original Biblical texts, the Name of Our Creator appears over 7200 times as YHVH, which is pronounced in Hebrew as YaHweH, in English as YaHoVaH, in French as YaHVaH, and in German as YaHüVaH. Throughout this document, YHVH or YaHoVaH is used for clarification.  The meaning of YaH = The Ever-coming; HoV = The Ever-present; and VaH = The Eternal Past.

In the Old Testament, God = Elohiym = YHVH; or God = Creator as in “The Lord God Almighty” = YaHoVaH the Creator Almighty.  In the KJV “The LORD” = YHVH.  In the New Testament, God = YHVH and “the Lord” = Master as in “The Lord Jesus Christ” = The Master Jesus the Messiah / Anointed One / Redeemer.]

The TEN COMMANDMENTS
(Exodus 20: 1-17)
[First Four Commandments deal with our relationship with Our Creator.]

I.       I am YaHoVaH your Creator, who brought you out from the Mitzeraim
(land of Egypt), out of the house of bondage.

II.    You shall not make for yourselves any image, or likeness of anything that is
in the heavens above; or that is upon the earth beneath; or that is in the
waters lower than the earth; you shall not worship them or serve them, for I,
YaHoVaH your Creator, am a jealous Creator, visiting the transgressions of
the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those
who hate Me; but I show mercy for thousands of generations, to those who
love Me and keep My commandments.

III.  You shall not take the Name of YaHoVaH your Creator profanely, for
YaHoVaH will not hold guiltless the taking of His Name in vain.

IV.   Remember the seventh day to keep it holy.  Six days you may labor, and do
all your business, but the seventh day is a Rest to YaHoVaH your Creator.
You shall not then do any business, you, or your son, or your daughter,
your manservant, or your maidservant, or your cattle, or your stranger who
is within your gates; for in six ages YaHoVaH made the heavens and the
earth, the sea and all that is in them, but rested at the seventh age; therefore
YaHoVaH blessed the seventh day and hallowed it.

[The Last Six Commandments deal with our relationship to our fellowman.]

V.         Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land
which YaHoVaH your Creator will give you.

VI.       You shall not murder.

VII.     You shall not commit adultery.

VIII.    You shall not steal.

IX.       You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

X.        You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife; or his manservant, or his maidservant, or his ox, or his ass, or anything that is your neighbor’s.

These Ten Commandments form the civil & criminal code of all nations & peoples in the history of the world – the last six of which even apply in communist or so-called atheist nations – and they form the basis of Biblical Judaism, Christianity and Islam.  The above Ten Commandments were taken from the Ferrar Fenton translation of 1903, considered by scholars as the most accurate of all English translations since it was translated directly from the Hebrew & Aramaic for the Old Testament, and directly from the Greek for the New Testament.  Published by Destiny Publications, Merrimac, Massachusetts 01860.
